we'll let everyone decide if they like the riding area and if so Morgan City will be home of the annual Mudbug Nationals.

Now that it is here - have good directions been posted?

For anyone heading out of Houston - I plan to leave Friday about 9am after the traffic has died down a bit. Anyone else leaving Friday AM?

I figured it was something like that, but I didn't think it was wise to scare your fan base, so late in the game. Big Grin

You guys coming in from the West need to watch out for road construction just past Beaumont and just before Orange. There is about 2 work areas that are each a couple of miles long and are known for long delays. Just make sure and go through that area @ any time other than between 4:00 and 6:00 pm. My group will be pulling out of Beaumont just before 3:00.

Going into Morgan City (coming from Lafayette), veer right onto the hwy90/hwy70/9th Street exit. Turn left at the bottom and go back under the bridge to Margurite Street (hwy 70), turn right on Margurite and follow to the park. If you wish to continue past the park to Stephensville (several miles up hwy 70), Doiron's Landing will be on the right next to the first conveniance store you see in Stephensville(Doirons).

Thanks howestek! That's what I was looking for

What's the latest local new on Arlene? News here has it hitting E. Louisiana/West Florida late Sat. That "could" mean windy squalls Sat. That's if you can believe weather forecasters.....

Please note that I changed "6th Street" to "9th street". Regardless, if you see the hwy 70/90 exit, take that one.

Nothing new about the storm here. It looks like Mobile will be the likely target. Some of the deepwater rigs are setting storm packers and are in the beginning stages of evacuating personnel as a precaution off the east Louisiana coastline. They do this all the time, well in advance of a storm, "just in case".
