It's too early to tell right now. These storms can, and do, change course sometimes. No one will really know where this thing will end up probably until Saturday morning. I have seen different reports from NOAA and the other weather sources so I don't think they are even sure. I'm not changing my plans unless something changes before tomorrow @ 2:00.

Same here - we're all keeping an eye on things. If it looks like a sure thing rain-out, we're bagging on the whole deal. Keep your fingers crossed, guys.

Maybe we should move it to Houston, Big Grin. Not a chance of rain here.

I suppose we can always put on a wetsuit and goggles and call it the "Thunderstorm Nationals". If this doesn't get better by tomorrow morning, I'm out. Not going to drive all the way over there just to sit around and wish it weren't raining.

To be fair to the guys coming in from the East, Lake Charles is a little more than an hour West of Lafayette and right on I-10. There is a big lake and plenty of beach and rivers and the Houston boys can still make it home for dinner on Saturday. What you think?

I hear ya Billy. If we were to do L/C, you guys could come in early Saturday morning, unless trying to get a night away from the house. I know the boat ramp @ L/C is 50 minutes from the West side of Beaumont and an hour from Lafayette. Pleanty of hotels, and Casinos for the people with spare money. That's all speculation, I would still rather have it in M/C. I think we all will have to make the decision by noon tomorrow.

AJA, trust me, the last thing I want to do is miss this event! I haven’t been able to sleep thinking about this trip. It's just the possibility of sitting in a motel watching it flood is not my idea of a good time. I have rode out a few hurricanes in my day and can say the parties were fun, but I'm not made that way anymore. The path of this thing is still unknown, but even if it headed due north and did not turn west at all, M/C still would get a bunch of rain. Heavy rain = flooding. That's why I said I was going to make my decision tomorrow. Not trying to be a party pooper, just realistic.

I like Kirk's suggestion if it does not improve. Like David - 300 miles for clouds and wind (let alone rain squalls) does not thrill me at all. Especially when it's going to be nice and sunny here in Houston.

If you have not sat through a tropical storm - then go! I'm making the call early tomorrow - I really want to go!

Some of the fast guys could out run the rain drops so im sure they are good to go.

Everyone in LA And Tx get your shop fans out tomorrow and point them due South West and we can blow this thing over to Cuba.

Note that almost all the rain has been to the EAST of the center of circulation for the last two days. This would bode well for Mudbug if it continues that way.

Click on weather.com, then click on VIDEO. They predict lots of heavy rain outside the "swath". Morgan City is just on the edge of the swath.

I ain't in no mood to guess and take a chance "IF" we will be sitting in the hotel room or riding Sat. I will be ticked if I drive 300 miles to let my ski sit on the trailer.......

I will give it till 2pm today for my decision.

dangit !......
