String the kid up by his testys... JK. Big Grin

Go to store and get one of those magnets on a bendable shaft, and shove down same hole as socket went. Maybe you'll get lucky.

Maybe let him play with the end of the spark plug wires - for just a split second Razz It'll teach him a lesson, no?

d) Be proud the kid wants to do what dad does.
e) Get him/her some "play" tools and something he/she can work on with the play tools.

My boys, Greg (5) and Alex (3) always play around in my shop with me. I pulled my pump last night and Alex dragged it over to his tricycle and was trying to mount it to the back of it. LOL!

He's 2.5 years old. Just laugh about it, and tell him when he's older. Jeez man, you sound serious. Big Grin

Be a proud dad that he is there wanting to be with you and wanting to help you "fix" things. I have 3 girls and they are always wanting to help me do anything when I am in the garage. No need to get upset as it can be fixed. It is just a minor situation as he is just a "kid" Situations like this can be looked upon as a learning event. When were were building our home in 2001, my middle daughter was 2 happended to get into her bedroom that the painters were painting and popped her finger-prints all over the window-sill. I was upset for a split second, but as a parent, I "knew" she did not know better and it could be corrected. To make a long story short, we left the window-sill as-is as a cheerful reminder of how cute it was "preserved finger-prints" and as she gets older, she can see how little her fingers were at the time.

But to make a long story short, maybe becareful where his location is next time he wants to help daddy "fix" things Big Grin

Here is my youngest mechanic !
