Hello all,

I can't remember the exact name of this device...it's for putting your ski in storage and not having to keep in on the trailer. It saves space and I'm looking for a used one in the Maryland area..anyone got one.

You can make it out of wood and add cement blocks in the base for tipping safety.

Tip...I saw a pic of one of these PVC stands and they had taken threaded pipe caps and mounted the wheels on them. Then if they wanted to use it in the shop they would screw the wheels on. If they wanted to use it at the beach they unscrewed the wheels. Also the PVC had little hole drilled in the top rails to let air out so it wouldn't float. Just another idea.

You can get four very short internally threaded extensions that will slide into the bottom of the T joints. Don't glue them in. Also get four threaded cap pieces and cut the nuts off them. Measure a 2x6 to make two mounting boards like RX951 has, then measure where the caps should be mounted so they'll line up with the stand's legs. Bolt the caps to the boards, screw the extensions onto the caps, slide the extensions into the T joints, then drill holes and use locking pins to secure the bases to the stand. Mount the castors to the boards.

Lets me go from rolling shop stand to beach stand in about ten seconds, and makes it easier to get under the ski for hull or pump work.
