Hello, my name is Kris Wilson, member of the WFLS and Champ Boat Racing
series. Rob Chester and I were towing our SST 45 back from the race in
Long Beach on Sunday, August 15th 2004. We were 10 miles south of
Sacramento when we were struck from behind at nearly 100mph by a driver
who had fallen asleep at the wheel. The impact immediately jack knifed
the truck and trailer sending us into a ditch on the side of the road.
Our truck trailer and boat became airborne and rolled 4 times finally
landing on the driver's side door. I walked away with minor cuts and
bruises. My best friend Rob Chester and long time crew member was
killed instantly.

Please visit the link below to learn more abut this Husband, Father,
Racer and Best Friend anyone could have. Memorial contributions may be
made to a trust fund for his 4 year old son, Daniel Chester at Placer
Sierra Bank on Bell Rd, Auburn. Please pass this email to as many
people as you know.

In Loving Memory
Robert Edward Chester
2/28/1970 - 8/18/2004

Robert was born on February 28, 1970 in Victorville, CA; died on August
18, 2004 in Sacramento, CA at the age of 34 years. A graduate of
Redlands High School, Robert entered the United States Navy in 1988. A
Gulf War Veteran, he specialized in Launch and Recovery aboard the USS
Enterprise. Following his military service, Robert left the military to
pursue a career in professional racing in 1992. He was a crew member
for Nelsen and Nelsen Chevrolet Off-Road Racing Team in Southern CA.
While crewing for this team he worked with racers such as Ricky Johnson,
Larry Ragland and your current Nextel Cup point's leader Jimmy Johnson.
Robert moved to Grass Valley 1993 and started racing the C-Stock Hydro
Class in 1998. In that same year, he became the primary crew member on
Kris and Mike Wilson's SST-45 Team. In 2003 Robert began crewing for us
in the Champ Boat Series with Kris's SST-120 Boat.

Robert is survived by his cherished wife, Krissy and four year old son,
Daniel, both of Grass Valley; parents, Gary and Mary Jo Chester;
grandmother, Verna Chester; two sisters, Marilyn Spencer and Donna
Agcaoili and four nephews.

Friends are invited to attend a celebration of Robert's life on
Saturday, August 21, 2004 at 1 PM at Lambert's Funeral Chapel, 400
Douglas Blvd., Roseville, CA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions
may be made to a trust fund for Daniel Chester at Placer Sierra Bank on
Bell Rd., Auburn.
