Well I just got my new toys....an SHO and a Cruiser HO. The SHO pulls like a freight train and very very smooth on the water. I couldn't tell you how the HO runs because I have no interest in riding it with the SHO sitting right next to it. Maybe later in the summer I give it a try, lol.

Anyway these sit on PWC hoists so I do not trailer them and get the chance to fill them up at the gas station so I can either do it at the marina at rediculous prices or transport fuel to my dock. I do not like using gas cans as no matter how good of one you get they always leak so I was thinking of one of the rolling gas caddy's with a hand pump. My question is; is there any precautions I need to take while using one of these other than the normal gas related safety issues? I am mainly thinking about static issues and things like that.

Does anyone else use one of these?

Regards

Congratulations! Rolling gas caddy's a great! I have one that I use when we travel to events where fuel is hard to come by.

Static electricity is always a concern. Just as when your filling gas cans at the pump or any vehicle make sure the fuel nozzle is in contact with the filler socket before allowing the fuel to flow.

If you get a gas caddy without a ball valve where the hose connects to the caddy get one and install it. That way you can close it and drain the remaining fuel from the filler hose when you're through filling your ski's.

Thanks for the reply and tips. I have one that has a reversing pump on it so when I am full all I have to do is give a quick turn or two in reverse and it clears the hose.
