i think the kawi stx super will be about 205 hp and 65 stock.

It may only be 205hp stock but if it is indeed a belt driven SC and the internals are beefy enough to handle it...all it will take is a simple pulley swap and a couple other goodies...(depending on what the computer can adjust for)...

If it ends up being anything like the rumors on the Matrix, Kawi will detune it just a touch from the factory but in ways very easy to undo once you get it home...

How many ski's does the coast guard buy? The manufacturers need to please there customers, that's the bottom line.

There was never any legal arrangements made with the coast guard or anyone else for that matter. Simply an "agreement" to keep the speeds below 65. It was only a matter of time before someone renigged... Now that it has been done, everyone will be soon following suit. And THAT is the best news I've heard since they made the "agreement"!!! Big Grin

96 WaveRaider 1100 with Riva Flame Arrestors, Boyesen Reeds, Solas 13/19, Top Loader Grate, Pro-Tec Shortie Ride Plate (speedo intact), Riva milled 150 psi head, Primer Kit, Pre-mix 50:1, Pro-Tec Sponsons. Won't run with the big bores or triples, but it's paid for and fun to ride! Big Grin

VOODOO speaks the truth. The manufacturers are under no legal obligation to the Coast Guard to cap the speed of their products. They are, however, obligated to give their customers what they want (or at least that's the way it should be). Give us what we want, and we'll keep putting money in your pocket year in and year out.

In the meantime 65 is a good idea if it allows us to keep on riding.
That reminds me of the 155mph cap the German car makers aggreed on in the 80s just to leave the speed free on the Autobahn.
Now for 1000$ you can give your BMW all its speed back, like for a ski...

Also the RXP respects the 65 speed cap, with 2 people and a full tank of gas, so would a 3 seater with 3 people and a full tank...
