I heard Kawasaki is working on a real fast 2-seater ski..

im not sure about a 2 seater but i do know they have a stx1500f they have been testing,it is equiped with a procharger super charger,the engine is completely stock(NO MODS)and it is said to be running 83-85 mph on pump gas and will accelerate faster than there pro mod factory race stxr`s,,and keep in mind the stx engine compartment is much smaller than the ultra 150`s so that engine will fit,but i would think they would produce a completely new ski for a sc equiped ski.jeff007

Well Kawasaki hasn't came out with a new runabout since 2000.
It would be logical for them to release a new 2 seater, make a 15F SC and have them share the engine. Everything 100%!!! |

It's the same DI hull though.....Ithink thats what he meant.....time for another two seater I think to.....
Nobody liked 2 seaters that much a while back because they where unstable with 2 people....now they site like a 3 seater...so more people might by them... |

ya know, i read somewhere Farthing Racing was doing that mod with those numbers.. but the stock 15F and stxr are around 63-64mph... kinda like the stock gpr hull and hp.
So if a 215hp triple pipe gpr is running 75-78 with the well known speed hull, then i would not think the 'chop' designed stx hull would run quite that fast...maybe 72-73 for supercharged 15f... power needed to overcome water drag goes up exponentially at some point and i think that might be around 60+mph. Of course a stock ski at 72 and getting there like a rocket with no nasty 2stroke emissions and loud exhaust on the 'bluewater' lake would be just the ticket ;-) dav_dman@yahoo.com, used 04 rxp and B1 on the xmas list. 04Honda F12X at home, 02 in stpete, both boosted a bit. 97 venture1200 for sale soon. |
