I was wondering where in Nor Cal can you go ocean riding? More specifically somewhere to wave jump. I've only jumped inland boat wakes. Big ones but not the same shape as a wave. I'd like to go somewhere with a beach and nice waves.

You launch at the Berkely Marina in the SF Bay and head towards Alcatraz and the GoldenGate Bridge. Go out under the GG and then to the left is where you can do it. Just the swells and awesome tides you will encounter is a rush plus can't beat the scenary. BTW that is Great White country. My wife did it you can do it. Respect the tides, currents and sharks out there and don't go alone. Its awesome riding and stay away from the shore by pier 39 or you will get busted by Coast Guard. You must stay a certain distance away SF city ordinance. Just stay close to Alcatraz and you won't have any problems.

Thrasher-I don't usually ride out at modesto resevoir. I almost always ride on the delta. Sometimes I go to Don Pedro but not too often.

GTX-thanks for the tip I might try that sometime if I can find someone to go with.

I'm gonna be out there all weekend for labor day. If you want to meet up let me know. I'll be staying on old river between disco bay & rivers end marinas. Basically the southern delta. Let me know if you want to meet up and cruise. Depending on where you launch we can probably meet somewhere.

It looks like I mixed up my dates. I have Rollins lake on Sept 10 & 11th. I do have Thursday-Saturday. We should try and hookup. I wouldn't want to launch out of Disco Bay. I think Holland tract is close isn't it? Or I think I remember someone mentioning Lazy-M.

I'm starting to rip parts off of my boat to sell them so I'll probably be something like a Stage 1.375 Big Grin 925-679-2311

Ya, I thoroughly enjoyed it too. We'll have to do that again, after some repairs of course. Big Grin

I drove my car down to meet Mark that evening and had a couple with em. Mark is a kick.
