I'm going to add the Garmin 76 GPS unit to my 2004 GTX SC when it arrives in March.
1. Garmin 76 GPS Holder for glove compartment for 4-tec models is $41.47
2. Garmin 76 GPS unit out of 34 online stores the lowest base price is $169.97.
Total after NY sales tax= $228.35
Not bad eh. Definatley 228 dollars well spent.

Did you already purchase those? I bought the Garmin 72 (which has almost all the same features) new on ebay for $115 and you can buy a mount for it for $30. Add tax for the mount and you're around $150.

I haven't bought it yet but the Garmin 76 is the only model that will sit flush in the glove compartment and i'm going for that "stock" look.
I think I know what your looks like it. You whouldn't happen to have a pic handy whould ya?
I looked at something similar from garmin.I won't buy anything of value on e-bay being ripped off in the past.

I just researched a little more and found that the Garmin 72 has the same length, hieght and depth as the Garmin 76.
The 72 is about 50 bucks cheaper and has very similar features which you said so thanks for the heads up skysurfer.

Cheers!

Skysurfer,
at Sea Doo.com under Accessories then Miscellaneous then to page 3 right there is Garmin 76 GPS Holder/Glove Compartment for 4-tec Vehicles but there is no picture there and I can't seem to find any contact info on Sea Doo's website anywhere Roll Eyes how typical.

Do you know if this is the same GPS option on the 2004 Sea Doo GTX SC limited (without the GPS of course). If so I don't recieve my GTX until March and I can't tell from any pictures iv'e seen on how to remove the top for the glove box and replace it with the aftermarket one.

Anyone feel free to chime in at anytime Big Grin
if it is the same as the 2004 limited i'd like to order it asap so I know you guys will help me quickly Smile

Take it Easy!

Yep, that is most likely the one that is on the limited. They aresupposed to be selling them as an accessory for other GTX models. I hadn't looked for them yet. Cool option but unfortunately, I have an ETrex Legend and it isn't the same size as the 76 series.

Yes I have confirmed it is what i'm looking for the part is on SeaDoo.com is 41.47 and my local dealer who happebns to be the only game in town here wants $72 for the part Yikes.
I have found a site Amazon.com that's selling the Garmin GPS 72 for $133. with free shipping and I think it's out of State so there's no tax.
As long as it's easy to install i'll have GPS on my ski for under $200.
Now all I have to do is pay for the ski :P

How does $35 plus actual shipping sound for a new GPS glove box sound?
