i have been riding in only salt for eight years. I havent had a salt problem yet. I have 54 hrs on this 07 1300 and is showroom new. Only use it to jump 10 15 feet in the air. LOL . I have seen lots of salt water with this. Its fine. After the ride if you cant get to a hose start it up empty it out 15 secs then go home and flush it 2 mins and wash it like your body... perfect.........

Saltwater is great man, Ive never driven anything in fresh water so i wouldnt know about if it corodes or anything like that.
But i presume, just like fresh water, you launch your ski, use it for the day and bring it home and clean it. Same thing with saltwater, just the clean up may take a little longer.
And make sure you flush the engine to get out the salt.
I have 70 hours on my FX Cruiser SHO, no problems at all.
Just like everything,
you must take care of it. Big Grin

Whether you ride if fresh or salt water clean up is important. Corrosion can still occur when fresh water is left on hardware, electrical connections, cowlings, etc.

If you ride in salt water you have to, have to use Salt-Away. Ask anyone who's used it and they will tell you the same. It's the single best care product you will ever use. You can even use it if you ride in fresh water. Remember, fresh water has minerals that can build up deposits in your cooling system over time. In some areas the mineral levels are much higher almost making the use of a product like Salt-Away a must.
