Im in the market for a new ski right now, Im mainly leaning twords The 2006 gp1300r but im hearing rumors that there might be a Even faster Gpr in the 2007 lineup there is also rumours that there might be a faster Rxp in the 2007 line up and im hearing that they might be ending the Gpr all together. bassically im asking if i should wait untill the 2007 models come out cause there is going to be a better Gpr's and Rxp's then this years or Should i just buy the 2006 Gp1300R because there probably wont be a faster one then the 2006......also does anyone know if next years Rxp will have 270? You better get the 2006 because the GPR is finished. It's going away and being replaced with 4 stroke.

2 strokes are all done now. The 2007 model will not say GPR and it will most likely be in a different (huge & heavy) hull since yamaha is all about having many kids and you bringing every one of them to the lake all the same time to ride the whale. (3-seater & family oriented).

If there is not a muscle craft at all in the 07 line up for yamaha, then you might want to entertain the thought of a sea-doo. Just my 2 cents.

Out of everyones opinion on this forum which ski is more relaible and a better all around ski thats not gona break on me. The Rxp Or the Gpr both brand new 2006's? i know that Working on a Gp1300R is cake compared to a Rxp but i dont know which one is more reliable.

GPR 2-stroke all the way.

Now a dealer that sells both Sea-Doo and Yamaha will tell you different because there is more profit for a dealer to sell the Sea-Doos rather than the Yamaha's. Sea-doo's dealer pricing has more margin in it between "Cost" and "MSRP" ---so you can imagine which one they would rather sell.

They will sell you on the RXP 215hp, but will leave out all of the shop and repair time that it will see back in the dealership. So they make money on both ends by selling the sea-doos, more profit and it's a high chance that it will be back in due to a clutch or supercharger failure before the warranty runs out----then guess what? thats right, they bill sea-doo for a ton of labor hours and get reimbursed for it.

It's win win for the dealer with more money on the sale and the return to be fixed. You on the other hand will be out of a ski and will have paid an extra 2k to be in that situation.

4 stroke is more reliable than a 2 stroke. Get the RXP! Hands down more reliable, less time in the shop and more economical to operate.

4 stroke... the wave of the future Smile

I was the one that posted this thread on my friends name (rxp 41). I did this while i was in the market now im a proud owner of 2006 RXP. i took green hulks advice and went with the "wave of the future" hahah. syk@ss1300 i dont know who was riding those rxp's but they must of been doing soemthing wrong, me and my friend on his 05 rxp (both stock) were leaving everything in our wake expeccially 06 13's. I couldnt be any happier with my 2006 RXP
