Anyone found a good product to whiten the yellow stains on the inside of the hull and on the bins ?.
Thanks, |

Nope. Mine's got the same thing after 9 months of use. I think it comes with the territory.

Scott, I thought about that, but it seems like Comet would scratch the heck out of the 'glass and leave a texture that would pick up more dirt/grease. It seems like the 'glass is actually stained, not dirty. Kinda weird...

are you talking the inside or outside of the hull? comet would be great on the inside, but for the outside maybe some sort of mild muriatic acid or something? just a thought, never tried it..are you trying to get the stains out from blackwater?

I would try some of these chemicals you could use r109 on this web page http://pressurewash.com/catalog/default.php?cPath=28
and put a little bleach in it. I think there is a small test kit they have. Call the and ask for Bill. 2000 GP 800 Riva Double bar intake grate Riva Rideplate Riva/Boyesen Reed Stuffers Skat-Trak 14/18 Riva Heads 37cc R&D povervalves Oil pump block off Hydro-turf 1997 GP 1200 Stock |

SD-
Thanks for the suggestion. By the way, I think the original poster was talking about the inside, which is what I was addressing. Keep the outside waxed, and it'll be fine. I hate winter... |

Hows about soft scrub w/bleach?

Soft scrub works great on the hull. Gets rid of alot of the little rubs and dirt in the scrapes. I soft scrub the hull a couple times a season to clean it up, then wax it.
I have found a few good products to get the yellow/orangie water stains off a gelcoat hull; never tried them on the jet ski (NOT THE SAME SURFACE AS GELCOAT). However, if you want to try them, they are: Starbrite Rust Remover (works great on tub rust stains, rust stains on fiberglass/gel coat, toilets, etc.), Starbrite Hull cleaner (kinda like a medium duty cleaner, works great on hull stains), Mary Kate's On/Off (Super Heavy Duty, a mixture of Oxcilic and Muratic acids. Will take the galvanizing off your trailer if it drips on it, but man does it work good.) I've tried CLR, bleach, and a few other normal household cleaners with poor results (and requires too much elbow grease). I've got a garage full of stuff that doesn't work (or didn't work well). I'll post a few more when I get a chance to check it out. Dave |
