Finally got it back from the dealer! And just in time for a great weekend.

They had to replace the #1 piston & cylinder, then went ahead and re-ringed #2 and #3, and replaced all the bearings/seals. Pretty much a brand new engine. Thanks to Fernando for hooking me up with Chris at Houston Yamaha - he's top notch.

Now I have to figure out if I have the patience to do a proper break-in...

Burned piston, no ride for now

Sure you do, man. That's what wetsuits are for! I'm sure as heck wearing a light one this weekend.

Congrats, Boris. Hope you have a good weekend!

Went riding today . Pretty cold but nothing beats it.
My manhood may have shrunk from the cold water but the ski ren better than ever.
Got to race a friends modded XPDI and a GPR1300 with some RIVA go fast goodies.
My old 1200r made me proud and I beat them both.
I love my ski.

Wake , how was your day ??? Razz Wink Big Grin

Here's an update.
Since I got home from todays ride I have felt a cold coming on. And now it's official , I'm sick.
Nose is running faster than my GPR and I'm overheating worse than my ski with the intake grate cloged with seaweed.
So was it worth it ???? Heck yea.
It felt so good out on the water today that I plan on riding on Xmas day .
They say "feed a cold"(or something like that) , I'm going to give this cold a 12 course meal so it can grow into a full blown flu.
Am I a caring person or what ? Big Grin

Next winter I think I will invest in a wetsuit.

Took the ski out on Saturday, and all I can say is HOLY COW was it cold! My 2mm wetsuit kept me warm, but my hands and feet were numb after 2 hours and I had to come in. What the heck are you guys using to keep hands/feet warm? I had regular gloves and some high-top neoprene booties. Maybe a dive shop will have something warmer. Anyway, it was good to be back on the water after two months...

I hate winter...

Daytona was great sunday...59 ambient, not sure what the water was...Ok so it was freezing and I drove 40 minutes for a 35 minute ride....Called it quits when I hit about a 5 footer, got thrown into the surf and banged my foot on the gunwale....my whole leg was numb, but it was well worth it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! No more riding sub 60 degree weather...call me a puss but oh well..tomorrow supposed to be 74, do I feel a cold coming on? sniff sniff..
