I'm planning my first LBC to Catalina run this summer, I understand it's quite doable as long as you play it smart and safe.

Looking of a few tips from any experienced goers..

I'll be making the trip with minimum of two ski's in good running condition..

Is it only recommended to do it in the early morning? what about afternoon runs?

How do you handle the fog, and large shipping boats?

Approx how long does it take?

Any other advise appreciated..
