Ive been trying to figure out why my stxr top when i hold it wide open. It has been running fine all season and now this started. I though it might be running lean with the humid weather and everything so I went one jet size higher on the main jet and it still does it. Anyone have any ideas?

The motor is stock except for tau-ceti flame arresters.

Well, this is stupid but my ski was doing that to me last year as well. Found out that it was my battery cable came loose and only did it when it was going fast and was kind of skipping across the water, i guess because of the vibration. Check it out

Thanks, but replaced the fuel filter and it runs perfect now. Guess the filter was just clogged up.
