Hey was wondering if anyone with there SXR's ever had a problem with water filling up in the hulls.. Today while riding everything was fine for the first half of the day then after I went to fill up gas the ski started to take in water.. Thought I had the hood on wrong but that wasn't it.. Checked bottom of hull and no holes or cracks.. Checked the inside for cut or unattached water lines but to no prevail.. Wondering if it is coming in from prop shaft seal.. Anyone else having this problem.. Water coming in at a fast rate.. Half full hull in 4 minutes time..

while its on the trailer, put water in the hull until it's just above the driveshaft seal. then crawl under the hull and see where the water is leaking out. is it filling up while the engine is running? if so then it's probably a loose or leaking hose or possibly a gasket leaking water into the hull.

I work for a dealer and have found a few ski's leaking around the exhaust gasket under the exhaust outlet. Remove the bolt that hold the exhaust outlet on the back of the ski and check th inner gasket to make sure it is there and all the bolts are tight. I have found a few with loose bolts. Good luck.

Thanks for the reply guys.. Wet wolf I did run the ski on the hose the minute I got home thinking that a hose had a cut or something.. At least while running it on the flush nothing leaked from anywhere.. Since I did submerge the whole motor I did blow out the pistons by running it at the lake.. Got home and fogged the heck out of the inside of the motor.. Ski dude good Idea on filling the hull up to check for leaks.. I never though of that.. Guess this is why people get on and post problems cause someone out there has a solution.. Will test tomorrow.. Thanks guys..

Well guys leak test showed no problems.. This means either it is leaking from the hood or I have a cut hose that does not show up when I flush the motor by hose.. Guess it goes into the shop to let them find it.. Thank god for a warrenty

Well got it back from the shop the other day and lucky enough I did cause my warrenty was just about up.. Found out that the leak was coming from the front bow tie down (u bolt below the rail that is attached to hull) Some how I cracked the hull there.. Don't know how but it had to get reglassed.. Man I bet that costed Kawi a pretty penny.. Though you guys might want to know the outcome..
