Im looking to add some stuff to my stock 06' 15f. i think the rpm kit is the best for my money(under $1500) any body else have ideas for me?

RC- the concord 14/21 impeller, do you tweak the pitch in house? I ride on the Mississippi, there is very few days when its like a sheet of glass, a lot of chop i see in the rpm kit it says for max speed use stock grate, but realworld isnt always smooth water, should i go with the intake grate too? thanks for your help.

One more?? whats the difference between R&D rec. ride plate and aquavein grate and pro 2 combo? is there much of a difference between the pro package and the recreational?

thanks any help is appreciated.

Sorry I missed this post. The 14/21 is an off-the-shelf prop.

Which intake grate you go with will depend upon how rough and how often it's rough where you primarily ride. I'd say if it's like a washing machine on a regular basis with only sporadic calm days then go with the standard Aquavein and stock ride plate (part#111-12100).

The difference between the standard Aquavein and Pro2 is significant. The Pro2 grate is very aggressive. The wing is wider across the leading edge and the two main bars hang down all the way to the pump shoe requiring you to run the Pro2 ride plate (it's cut out to accept the grate). The wing on the standard grate is angled at the outside edges and the top has a relief cut in the middle so it doesn't grab as much water. The rear of the two main bars don't hang down allowing it to tuck into the stock or standard R&D ride plates.

Unless you're running a high-horsepower package or racing closed course I wouldn't recommend the Pro2 set up.

Riva Crew, thanks for all your help w/ this! one more question? i hear all the hype about how altitude affects performance. iowa is about 500ft above sea level(reading from gps) how will this affect my 15f w/ rpm kit? thanks

No problem. I wouldn't think 500ft will hurt performance too much. If anything you may need to tweak your prop slightly. Check with one of the aftermarket prop shops for recommendations.
