Hi, I am buying a new ski this year. Problem is I can't decide on the 15F or the Ultra LX. I ride on a river and some of long island sound. The larger hull of the LX is appealing to me, but I know it will not be as fast as the 15F because of the added weight. Do you think the 15F will handle rougher water as well as the LX? Can anyone offer suggestions?

Forgot to ask if Kawasaki got the cooling hose issue resolved in the 07 models? I recall reading a post about the fresh water inlet hoses coming off.

i would think that the lx would handel beter in the rough
the LX's main benifit is the biger tank and storage for long cruises it also leans in the turns making it less demanding

i find in rough water unless it is small chop it doesn't mater what ski you are on it will be a rough ride
stand up amd go as fast as you can and it will smooth it out a bit .but you will still get wet and bounced around

ive got an 06 15f. the main diff between the 2 is the hull. 15f is all about sport, race inspired hull and handling. very fast out of the hole. the LX is your cruiser w/ more luxery features. a big advantage of the LX is storage space, fuel capacity, and left side reverse. also the 15f is bare bones, no fancy features like depth finders or gps built in like hondas or seadoos. i also ride on rivers, mainly the mississippi, w/ the LX you'll plow through the waves where as w/ a 15f you skim across the tops. its all opinion, whether you want a sport ride or a cruiser. and on the water fitting, im not sure if they fixed it yet, but i've heard putting another hose clamp on it takes care of the problem but ive never had any trouble with mine. it's run great!!
