I AM A CERTIFIED MECHANIC FROM AMI. I JUST BROUGHT THE KDS SYSTEM. I CANT GET IT TO SEE THE 250X THAT I HAVE BEEN WORKING ON. I HAVE TRYED NUMOURUS THINGS. THIS IS WHAT I HAVE:
KDS SOFTWARE 57001-1506
SIGNAL CONVERTER 57001-1504
COM CABLE 57001-1470
KDS ADAPTER CABLE 57001-1696

THE ONLY PROBLEM I CAN SEE IS THAT MAYBE MY USB-SERIAL PORT CABLE IS NOT COMPATIBLE WITH THE KDS SOFTWARE OR THE KDS SOFTWARE I HAVE IS WRONG. I HAVE SOME ATTACHED PICS OF MY COM CABLE, ADAPTOR CABLE.

I THINK I NEED THE RELAY CABLE TOO.

Do you have an older computer with a serial port?

Mine was looking for Com1 and I could not use the USB. May still work if the USB/Com device is set up for Com1.

NO I HAVE A NEW COMPUTER USING A USB TO SERIAL ADAPTER. IN THE 250X SERVICE MANUAL IT DOES NOT SAY ANYTHING ABOUT A RELAY CABLE I GUESS I NEED IT? DO YOU HAVE INFORMATION ON YOUR SITE YET>>>>

Im now using an older lap top with Com1 port but Im finding the process is not all that easy unless Im goofing something bad.

My usual mech guy is out till Sep gettting maried or something. Crazy.

Ill have everytrhing posted as soon as I get it completed correctly because I know Im doing it wrong as of now.
