The dealer meeting is in mid-September. Kawi invited us to display our Performance Product offerings for Jet Ski watercraft. I'll be sure to snap lots of pics while there. Wink

Riva Crew,

I am sure we are going to see a SC 4-stroke from Kawi in 2006. Have you heard any rumors or leads that Kawi is going to change their SXR to 4-stroke or a clean 2-stroke in the near future?

Your right Toddmunch. I guess I wouldn't expect R.C. to spill the beans, but I guess I was looking for a "don't worry about it" type of comment. That would be good enough. Anyway, as soon as Kawi or Yamaha come out with a 4-stroke Standup, it definately be a better choice than a Hydrospace standup. I give those Austrian guys a couple of years before their out of the PWC market (in the US anyway).

Word is the biggest Kawi Dealers have already been allowed to see a picture of the new 06 Hull design, so I can only guess thast they are ready to make a big order for 2006 next month after the dealer meetings.

There won't be any dealers placing huge orders with gas at $3.00 a gallon! There are dealers in the Virginia area already sucking wind with leftover 05's. Coleman Powersports has a couple of RXP's left that they are suddenly chomping at the bit to get rid of. I suspect dealers will play it real close for next year and if there is a ultra high performance ski, it will be in short supply and high demand (since us idiots ride no matter the price of gas!).

Well, Yami showed their weak line. Either it's Kawi SC or no new ski this year or next.

if i bother to the wood be na-sayers would come out and say it aint so.......

all i will say is, roots typically create more heat then a centrifugal or turbo. the roots typically takes more power to drive then a centrifugal. the roots will typically be in full boost at a low rpm vs a centrifugal where its power is built exponentially with the rpm band. most will say the roots is a better OEM component....this i may agree with. but for brute power @ high rpms....typically, its all centrifugal.

thats just a taste....but again, if kawi comes out with one...and people start pushing the 80mph envelope with some bolt ons.....im jumping ship.

heres a look into my crystal ball....a roots kawi stocker(RXP competition) that does 67-68 that will do 74-75 with some bolt ons and some more boost....more then that it will take race gas, blower pistons, steel o-ringed head, re-vamped programing, bigger injectors, etc. to get there....big bucks. if thats the case....ol' faithful stays!
