How much lighter than stock are those hoods? I'm curious because the stocker on mine doesn't feel like it weighs much to begin with.

I don't know the exact weight savings, but it is noticeable. You have to take into account all the pieces that make up the stock hood assembly (side pieces/cowlings, brackets, latches, hardware, etc) when weighing it against our one-piece race hood kit. I'll try to remember to weigh the new hood and a complete stock hood assembly when it arrives.

True. I guess it's hard to judge the stocker while its on the boat too - especially suspended by that shock

yes, it should fit a 12F

The same seat can be used on STX-R and STX-F models. The hoods are different however.
