Maybe a new CDI or some Air box type things,
not all of us have 5-7 thousand to install a Supercharger.
The grates don't help much, props are ok so far, but nobody has develeoped much for the 12F or 15F,

let's get the discussions started !

Already in the works! Wink We're working on a RPM Kit similar to the one for the Yamaha FX's comprised of simple bolt-on parts that will produce significant performance gains at a reasonable price point.

In the next days I will be installing and testing a stage 1 race package for my 4 stroke Kawi 15F, to give you a hint, it share some of the same aftermarkets parts that board member (4-Tank) have in his boat except for the sponsons that come from a different manufacturer and the aftermarket prop comes with a "race ready tweaked and blueprinted job" NOT like the "out of the box" one that comes on farthing package.

Hi GprSTX-15F whats up. I have a R&D plate and grate from the STX-R also a 13/19 skat from an 1100 di a 4" K&N cone filter. The ski has a little more top end but not much. The hole shot is impressive though. The ski with this combo of grate and plate does hop more then I like so I have switched back to the OEM stuff. I ride in the gulf all of the time so I want hook up more then flat water speed. The plate and grate almost feel like they are fighting each other on this ski. The plate feels like it trys to lift the front end while the intake grate feels like it is trying to pull it back down.( Hear that Riva! We need a good plate for this ski.)So GprSTX-15F please post your results after you test I would love to hear what you find. Are you testing the same grate and plate?

Hi bro, yes unfortunately this is the price that we have to pay everytime that we put a aftermarket ride plate in our PWC'S, most of the time we gain speed in smooth waters but lose speed and hook-up in the rough, but for a smooth water grudge racer guy like me, this will be fine, this is way I am goin to skip the aftermarket top louder intake grate and keep my (modified) oem stock grate in place Wink, according to Harry Klem from Group-k and James Crone from PE the only two aftermarket intake grates available to our 15F boats the (R&D and works) will scrub at least 1 full mph (radar tested) and about your last question, yes, i will be testing the R&D plate the K&N high flow F/A the skat-track swirl 13/19 (blueprinted) by PE aftermarket sponsons also from PE but NOT the grate, i will post Gps numbers before and after the mods in the board verry soon, hasta luego, Ray

p.s. (4-Tank) check your private message.

GprSTX-15F and RC, it is good to know that some mod. packages will be available for the 15F. I'm thinking on getting a new 3 seater (my first one) and right now I'm thinking on the 15F or an STX-R. This will be my family ski, but for a speedholic like me, some mods will be ok.

Hey Gpr, I read your signature and I'm also from Puerto Rico, Vega Baja.

Sounds good to me GprSTX-15F can't wait to hear how yours runs with the goodies. The ski just has so much potential. Our numbers should be close because I am in Clearwater Florida so it is warm and humid most of the time here.

Hi paisano boricua, i live in the west close to the town of Rincon (surfer paradise) but not exactly from there, listen to me bro, if you are planing to buy a 3 seater pwc, you can't go wrong with the new 4 stroke Kawi 15F, i have been involve in this hobbie since 92' and I have had owned more than 10 differentes pwc in the past most of them heavily moded by me and I will tell you something, this boat the 15F have been the best one by far, you got the best from both worlds, incredible acceleration (I hole shot almost all the moded 2 strokes boats from my riding area it dosen't matter if they are 3 or 2 seaters) and stay neck and neck with the bad boy S/C 215HP RXP for a while from the hole not to bad for a heavy 3 seater boat that comes with a normal aspirated 160hp engine, don't you think Wink also good handling, good top end speed (mid 62mph on Gps) and the best of all the fuel consuption of this boat is just ridiculous since you live in P.R. I would give you this clear example, i can go from the town of Rincon to Playa el combate (combat zone and Boqueron) in the town of Cabo Rojo a almost 4 hour round trip at crusing speeds with a single fuel tank, hard to belieive but true, the other 4 boats that made the trip with me that day were 2 strokes Yamahas 01 and 02 XLT'S and all of them have to refuel in la marina de boqueron ofcourse my boat reserve buzzer went off about 5 minutes from the boat ramp but my 15F service manual says that after the reserve buzzer I can still ride the boat for another 25 minutes at full throttle.

Wow, it's hard to believe to make a round trip from rincon to Cabo Rojo, but I believe you. I'm doing this investigations, cause I want a three seater (since 1993 I'm in the two seater feaver). I was a Sea Doer, but since 2001 I just bought my Ultra running triples and other mods. My Ultra Mechanic is "Benjie" that's me Big Grin. That's wy I'm incline in Kawis. The only I don't like too much is the color and graphics of the 15F. But like I said before, this will be a family ski, where I can go on long trips with my wife. She's scared of the Ultra. Frown

Maybe you know my "Mentor" most of the time he's racing in "Combate", Eggy "Rockero".
So, nice to meet you, and maybe we can ride together. Keep in touch.

Yes, we share almost the same weather, if I can reach al least 66mph on my gps with this bolt-on mods I will celebrate with a champagne bottle Smile if I can't get there with my lightweight 150 pounds body then nobody can..... this would put my boat in the same territory of the new 3 seater 215HP RXT beast that according to guy who tested one in a dream demo they reach between 64 to 65mph on the top end, if everything goes well I think that I will have a BIG surprise for them Wink

p.s. 4-tank, i need to talk to you ASAP!!! (gpr01racer@hotmail.com) thanks

Bro, "Rockero" (lemontreeracing) his nick name in the board is like my brother, i talk alot with him by mail and go together to combat zone "Combate" during summer time to do some Kawasaki "spanking" to the competition and to drink some ice cold beers along with Mingo's moded boats, Nelson moded ultra from Moca, Juan Carlos STX-R from arecibo and the other guy with the fastest single pipe ultra in the entire island, Miguel from los hornos, cuidate chao, Raymond

P.S. when riva release this new S/C kit for my boat, don't be surprised if I will become the first person in our island to test one Wink then COMBATE WILL NEVER BE THE SAME!!!!!

GprSTX-15F,

I am very interested to hear more about your testing and what kind of gains you are experiencing. I have a STX-R with many Performance Engineering Mods on it. I am looking to get another ski and am thinking about the 15F. May even spring for the supercharger if it comes out. BUT.... with the RXP and soon RXT running mid 60 stock by the time I use bolt on mods to get the STX-15F to mid 60s that is basically where they are starting when they mod their ski.... so won't it still be a who ever mods first wins type of thing?

There is a point of being happy with enough... still wanting more... but happy... I will be happy if I could build a STX-15F to run 67+ on radar consistantly. I will buy that boat tomorrow if someone told me I could get there for a reasonable price and still have the reliability.

My STX-R is a solid 63 mph on GPS but the way James Crone built it out for me you had better hold on from 0-63. The modded gprs and the rxp etc do beat me but I have learned to pick short races. Now no-one around me will run me from a standstill. They all want to start at 20-30 mph and I still spank them... they then catch up and walk away. If the water gets choppy they have a very very hard time catching up.

So your work does interest me to see if the magic 67+ number is attainable with wicked accelaration from a standstill.

Thanks.
