OK so I see the SC kit on line, so I go up to my dealer and pick up a 15F, call Riva and put my deposit on a kit. Now all I can do is think about it, its driving me crazy. Have a STXR all bells and whistles but she is now doomed for the garage....

Ok I dont know how to take the statment of "Young 4-stroke owner". I am quick to assume sarcasm. You must not know me well. So let me intro myself. I have been racing in region seven for over 7 yrs. I have had several boats and been buying from Riva for yrs. Evan been on one of Tim Judges boat biult for Dustin. I have bought and sold more race boats than cars Ive owned.
My complaint was only that Riva has often advertised and sold a product that is not availible.
So if you would please take a higher ground and not be so free to talk down to people you dont know. Thank you for considering this request. Oh and there is going to be a small issue with loss of horse power with the standard kit you will be selling. I ll be opening a new post on that.

I was using a famous qoute with a twist ("Patience young Jedi") because I took your post as being lighthearted and not as a complaint. Your post conveyed to me that you are eager to receive your kit and we are just as eager to deliver it to you, as well as the others that have ordered one. It appears that you're all business. So be it. But, I will take your request into consideration if you to take something into consideration as well. Read everything with an open mind and don't approach posts negatively. A lot is lost in translation when reading because you can't see an expression or hear the tone of one's voice. That's where the emoticons come in handy. FYI - A lot of our forum members like to joke around and goof on each other or portions of posts. We try to keep things light and fun.

For the record; in your original post I don't see where you are complaining and I didn't take any of it as a complaint. However, if I had a negative attitude I guess I could take your post negatively, but my glass is always half full.

Rarely do we advertise something we can't deliver, but it has happened before. Not every idea is a winner. Anyone in marketing knows the key to sales is creating interest and hype. Rather than wait until the last second to do that we choose to promote our products ahead of time. As a matter of fact, we are constantly being asked for details about what's coming out.

What documentation do you have to back up that statement? We haven't even released a kit yet! However, PWI has verified our claims.

Im looking for that issue of PWI. Also I have nothing to backup my statment so maybe they should be deleted from your forum but thats what this forum is for or not?

I think you're still misunderstanding/misinterperating things. I wasn't ragging on you. Nor should anyone else! The "patience" part was because you seemed eager. The "young 4-stroke owner" was because you appear to be new to owning 4-stroke watercraft. (You list a `02 2-stroke and a `05 4-stoke in your sig.)

How about explaining your negative comment regarding the performance claims of our kit??? Afterall, you threw it out there for everyone to read. Might as well provide your reasoning and/or facts. Afterall, fair is fair.

OK this is getting silly. Im in two different posting on the same sight. I am trying to make peace but as this confusion gets deeper it is clear to me I do not belong in this forum. I appologize and will no long post here. You are correct and the kit RIVA offers is perfect and has been proven so. Again I am sorry.

Yes, we're going back and forth in two different threads on the same topic. I found your explination on the performance claims in the other thread. I don't understand how you can pass judgement on our kit based on information regarding the Facory Kawi kit. Especially since there are only a few who are privy to what's really going on.

Bottom line; our kit is an improved version of the Factory Kit so as to make it more user friendly and reliable. How about we just leave it at that? We won't let you down!

OK So send me one and Ill do engine compartment temp test, RPM and GPS with stock boat, then with standard SC kit and final with upgraded SC kit. I will use all of RIVA stuff. Then may I ask you questions. The information I posted was only becaused I was warned that if Im going to bouy race it then I needed to do something about heat. I really should have found a more tackful way in sharing this info and your correct this mod is for a select group of boats. I hope the group stays small as to make my race day more enjoyable. Nothing worse than fighting a pack of RIVA boats.

As far as you not understanding how I can pass judgement on RIVA's Kit based on information regarding the Factory Kawi Team. Well RIVA did, by claiming this kit is Team Kawasaki-spec. PWI Mag July 2005 issue. Riva even claims that "kit contains the same specifications that Team Kawasaki won two 2004 Pro Runabout World Titles with" on the web site under kit overview.

Am I mistaken or are you now saying it is a modified version?

This whole thing started with my inquiring for info on this kit. Why has it come to this. I am posting this last one on this issue only to reply to your misunderstanding as to why Im comparing.
