I think I am going to have to get one in red myself. Smile

Now just need to know when it will be available for delivery and the exact costs.

Looks like kawasaki will be the big winner in 07. Ski looks good, modern ultra. Sweet. 250hp wonder what it will top out at. Since the RXP does 68mph out of the box this thing has to do 70mph. It would be really cool if it did 75mph out of the box.

Roots type blower, acceleration must be awesome for a stocker. Looks pretty big though. They finally did it. Been a long time comin. Wonder if I should wait one more year for the yami.

Since this thing is longer and heavier than the RXP I bet about the same in speed. Although due to the supercharger it might be a harder hitter down low and mid range.

We will see soon.....Im guessing 68 and 69.5 to 70 on empty and prime conditions considering the tank is 20 gallons and a 1/4 is a good 5 gallons not 2 or 3.

Magazine test will show soon.

That engine in a "lightened" 15 F would be an ideal pump gas rec boat!!!

I think your onto something. Also, it will be easy to retrofit this engine, or this supercharger into a regular STX hull Big Grin So if the new hull is too heavy or doesnt handle as well as the older stx hul..... there are options

Sources say the new SC engine won't fit in the STX style hulls. The NA 4 stroke was a tight fit.

Most of us know that the new exguast and side mounted SC needs an aditional 4 inches in width that the STX hull does not have. The motor is slightly different then the 15F butfor the most part the same platform

No need to act as the one who knows it all first.

Dont be fooled. All it will probably be is a hard cover piece instead of a cushion on the back seat.
That engine needs all the hull to be a performing and safe boat. "R" has once before been the same hull with stripped down options. No reverse or SLO, Sporty grafix no mirrors and probably some improved handling add ons.

Ultra 250R? Is that made up or for real? Does that mean in 08 there will be an influx of musclecraft to buy.

Seadoo comes out with a bumped up RXP
Yamaha comes out with a SC GPR
Kawi has the 250R
Hydrospace comes out with their runabout that will cost an arm or a leg or both

And on top of all that we get a new president.
Might be too much.

The 250R at piont is speculation by someone else but if it is true, then true to Kawi it will be minor changes to the X to make it a bit more appealing to the Racers. R line up from Kawi is the Race enspired line.

Cant imagine Kawi making a whole new hull for a two seater model. It like the RXP, Hard back seat portion or a cushion on. Walla a two or three seater conversion.

Green Hornet, Personal Watercraft Illustrated, Dec. issue, is claiming a top speed of 66.5 mph for the Ultra 250X. Disappointing to say the least.
