2001 GP1200R
12.5 hrs on rebuilt motor Just rebuilt the carbs this past week Riding at sea level in Jacksonville, NC Since the carb rebuild the engine starts easily and idles well. However, when I get into choppy waters the boat bogs down (this blows because I ride in the surf and the wind is always blowing out here). I back off the throttle for a couple of minutes and it cleans out and I can get back on it. Everything is stock inclucing the needle valve settings. In fact, the plugs that cover the needle valves are still in place. It feels almost as if it is running rich. All three plugs are wet when I pull them after shutting down the engine. |
