ok, guys this may be a simple question but ive looked everywhere and can find no answer. I am buying a 2000 gpr1200 and it looks awesome, but i like the blue color of the 2001 models better. Can i change the side panels on the 2000 model which is silver to the 2001 side panels which are blue? i assume they are exactly the same dimension wise but i havent been able to find anything to verify this for sure. and also will all the parts interchange body wise from 2000-2002?

Yes and yes! They're then same through 2008! There are a few minor changes such as the fuel selector opening is covered on the EFI equipped GP1300R's, but that won't prevent it from fitting up. You can remove the cover so you can access the selector on a carbureted model.

We offer an Online Original Parts Finder (see navigation and banner ad at top of every forum page) that you can use to cross reference parts and securely order them. You may also contact our parts specialists for answers at 800.241.4544 or by e-mail at orders@rivamotorsports.com.

I had a friend in the auto parts industry that had leftover Ford Mustand blue (just a little less purple in it than 01 GPR cowlings). First he did my cowlings and glove box, looked so good, I had him do the whole ski.

It was a Krylon automotive paint, I think, painted an 00 GPR in 2003 and the guy that bought it from me said paint was still great in 2008 when he sold the 00 GPR.
