I feel your pain dude....all I can say is, thank God for this forum, it saved my *** ....my ski had 63 hours with the original powervalves and the pins were still in place but the clearance was right at the upper limit of the window

knowledge is power

and don't buy a Honda four stroke sled becasue I eat those things for lunch, just like I did this weekend (3 of them no less)

if you are fed up with Yamaha, at least get a STX12R.....TWO STROKE RULES

boy the pins come out easily too. I was goofing around with one of my older ones and the pins would slide out with just a little bit of pressure on them. Keep bugging Yamaha. Maybe they will do something for you.

I would have a lawyer write a letter and threaten legal action. I also suggest that you report them to a comsumer group. If you create bad press for them you will get some action.

one of these days they will figure out that simpler is ALWAYS better on a PWC....no powervalves....no emissions crap....no four strokes

it's another reason why turbo and supercharged 4 strokes make me laugh.....I'll give most of 'em about a year before they implode with hard use, since PWC engines are CONSTANTLY at redline and brutal load conditions in choppy water....

I can't even imagine what happens if you capsize one of the behomoths and get water in the cylinders

if I had to do it over again, I prob would have gotten an STX12R, but the GPR with the ADA head and cat-con removed is still a blast to ride
