I was just wondering how everyone runs their engine while it is out of the water? Will the engine flush water hookup be sufficient? I know this might sound like a dumb question but I typically leave my gp at the lake and just back it in the lake to check it out. Now I have move and live about 1/2 hour from the lake and I wanted to fire it up and make sure there are not any leaks and that it will run before hauling it to the lake. Thanks in advance

yes the hose will work just fine. Just make sure to start the engine first turn on the hose. When done turn the hose off FIRST then the engine.
If you leave the engine off and the hose running BAD THINGS WILL HAPPEN!!! You never want circulating water with an engine OFF, it backs into the cylinders and can do some major damage.
