I know this has been asked many times before for other people's skis... so my turn...

I have:
00 GPR
IR Stage 1 Kit, Carbon Tech reeds, just rebuilt carbs (to oem settings per friend who did them)
13/19.

Im hittin 7030 RPM on Tiny Tach...

Does this sound about right?

I'd say you are couple hundred short. Should spin around 7200 - but that is dependant on temp, humidty, barometric pressure - RAD.


Red Ski - 2000 ported 1300 single piper
Blue Ski - 2001 ported 1300 triple piper

Did you GPS the ski? Jay is right about the rpm's with that impeller but there may be other things going on. A gps reading can help a lot along with weather conditions and elevation.

Need more info.

Example:
If you are at sea level at 70° and GPSing 64-65 then something isn't right.


2000 GP1200R 75.2 & 7240 @ 75°
2001 GPR 1300 ported 80.6 @ 7280 hopefully more to come

No, didnt GPS the ski, just tiny tach.
Gotta get my hands on a GPS still.

Weather was 67 degrees.
Water was very slight chop.
1/2 tank gas
600 above SeaLevel (Chicago)
