Anyway what kind of mods are you interested in doing? The forum might be able to help.

Philip

i am interested in the Fercho jet mod if it would be applicable to my IR stage 1 boat. I am a little hesitant as to being able to do this mod on my own and not messing up my boat.

any ideas? or anybody in NC that can help me out with this?

maybe there are some bolt on mods you could do (that might even be better than doing the jetworks mod)

something like
- rejet carbs and add F/As (1 to 2 mph)
- raise compression (1 to 2 mph)
- swap 13/19 for Nujet 6.5 (1 to 2 mph)

on the carbs, you could ship the rack to Carl and he will set them up for you (that is what I did 3 years ago!)

Philip

so if i were to add those 3 mods i would be looking at 3-6 mph increase in top speed? how much better would holeshot be? how much would those 3 mods run me? and finally could i add those 3 mods without any other mods such as something like the free flow kit?

thanks philip

Ok so the point of my post was that there might be some simpler mods other than the Jetworks mod that you might consider

since most of us are focussed on going faster I suggested mods that would do that - jetting, F/As and raise compression will also improve holeshot - Nujet is a better mid and high than 13/19 (13/19 will have a better holeshot)

sell your 13/19 and buy Nujet 6.5 - net cost $25 to $75

raise compression - new head $300 - used head $200

jetting $100 - F/As $200

only if you raise the compression would I say you consider a free flow, so depending on what compression you go to and what octane fuel you use you might get away with not adding a free flow (if compression is low and octane is high than maybe no free flow is needed)

I would think if you did all 3 mods you would have a 69-70 mph ski
