confirm it is PVs by going for a ride while disconnecting the servo motor cable - while you are at it use some contact cleaner on the connector plugs

if it is PVs, try swapping out the servo motor and if that doesn't fix it swap out the CDI

It seems like my engine wants to stay with electric valves. First the nut gets stuck striped (dont want to know how I got that out) then it was **** near impossible to get the stinger holder out, then the rod hits the stinger and had to cut the rod. Now the valve says no, im staying electric. WTF?

what r we dealin' with here? a bunch of novices or what? Big Grin

thats 100% normal for a electric valve with the advent ignition.

either raise or lower the valve opening to an area in the rpm band that you "less" frequently cruise @.

i hated that part of the electric valves....the oem cdi has a slower opening and closing function....making it "less" noticable then the "quick" acting advent valve function.

well said jay.....go gas and u never go back....or you never go valves again? either way i suppose.

Woody,my ski had been gone thru by riva right before I bought it & they had the snap set @60,which is a tripple pipe setting.also I installed a by pass from the back fitting on the head and the rubber boot is still swelling & leaking. To top it off one of my QT cables froze up and broke my twist grip inside. This thing will not give me a break,Im running out of time & work I cant afford to blow-off has picked up for the last time before it dies for the winter, and Im not sleeping good-no matter how many sheep I count Frown

I've set my snap setting at every setting there is, and I still get that annoying surge. It doesn't help that since I went ported BB, I have another surge problem at around 5000 rpm when the engine apparently wants to "get up on the pipe" (don't get excited, Fercho) and make a rapid 800-1000 rpm jump. Which, of course, puts me right in the range where the PV's want to rapidly open. It makes for a very "jumpy" ride sometimes.
