(2) 2000 XL 1200 LTDs
I had them winterized and stored at a local boat dealership. After getting them home and unwrapping, I pulled off the seats to put the batteries back in and.... The one ski has a substantial amount of oily water mix at the bottom of the hull. What do I do now? Check first? I am assuming a cracked block but... This is the same ski that I replaced a cylinder head/piston (#3) in early summer of 2007. Although I didnt' mark the oil level, there does not seem to be a lot missing from the tank. No gas smell. Another thing I noticed was that one of the spark plugs (#3) was nearly unscrewed and a bunch of oil seemed to be poored into the cylinder. Is this possibly a winterizing deal? Didn't notice it anywhere else. For now, I will probably pull off some of the exhaust and clean up as best as possbile. Put down some paper towels under the block to see if it truely is leaking. Thanks for the support, Jim |

There is not anything in the block that will leak oil. An oil line my have fallen off one of the carbs.

I'm hoping the best for you. Hopefully they did put a tablespoon of oil in the cylinders, and instead of hand turning it, they hit the starter and made a mess. They might have also sprayed down your engine with WD-40 and left a mess.
