HAHAHA I just wanted to say that at the local ramp Sunday there were a few frowns. Being that it was the first day around here in a month without rain there were plenty of skis out. Almost all teh people that came back had big smiles on there face from riding. Almost I said. There were 2 guys who came back that werent to happy. Both had 99 Ultras. 1 was just revving and moving 5 mph top speed. The other, lets just say he was towed in with a waterski rope. Been there, never again, yeah I am talking about you WETJET 200 DUO

Hi Dana Since you mentioned it quote: something is not tuned correctly with the ultra , my friends stock ultra except for pump work that i did gpsed many times at 66 mph stock it ran mid 64's . keep in mind that group k did not tune the ultra but just supplied the parts and package , just like with any package an experienced tuner is needed to get all the parts to work .
I happened to be standing on the ramp in the Colorado River when Gerhart (Harry's brother) personally delivered the Ultra to Bill. This was the first time that Bill had ever seen the boat, since it had been picked up, built, tuned and tested extensively by Group K long before he ever saw it. Just like my two Island boats, one of which is in transit right now. I must have liked the first one, here I am back for more. Carl You must have spilled alot of LI water on Dons parts box, we are getting currents now in our fresh water ponds in Canada!!! I think tho that sending me that electrohydraulic current locater was a bit unfair. You know the drill. Line up with your buddy, locate a current, sneak onto the edge of it (while keeping him in calm water) and leave him scratching his noggin elly Don't expect to find these boats in PWI, not unless they want to come to the great white north to ride them

quote: if i were the guy with that ultra , id bring it back ! a ported , carbed, properly tuned ultra will be a lot faster than that, elevation plays a part , but come on now.............carl, you must be yawning from staying up so late looking in the mirror telling yourself how great you are, huh ! MODEL Stock Stage 1 Stage 2 1350 -91 octane Stage 2 100+ Octane 1350 100+ Octane Ultra 150 62-63 65-66 69-70 68-69 70-71 71-72 STXR 1200 63 65 67 66 68 69
The format this came across in is not as clear as I would have liked, but here are the exact claimed speed numbers for a Stage 2 Ultra like Bill's. Their claim is 69-70 for this kit. The boat in fact ran 70+ in Arizona so in fact the boat is delivering better than their performance claims. BTW from here to Group K is a 25 hour drive-the chances of it going back are quite slim. Especially when it performs according to their specifications.
