Wow, I just thought I was old school with my Raiders. Now all the new four stroke stuff. Give me about five years, it might grow on me. If they are beating me...

Fercho, you're making me blush!!! Red Face Razz From the outside the exhaust systemo on th e`05 GP1300R appears to be the same (size, shape, water routing, etc). The seat on the VX is one piece (3 riders). It will be interesting to get inside the motor and see what's different about it besides it missing the PV's.

Is that new 1300 engine gold? It kinda looks like it. Also looks likes there is more wiggle room in there without the PV's, cables and pulley. It looks great from the pic. A whole new ballpark with a different playing field. I am not going to give up on the 2 stokes just yet.

If they redesigned the crank (not to break)everyones going to to want one.

Thanks Yamaha, just picked up my motor w/ new crank. Extended warranty covered all parts. I paid $276. for labor to reassemble the motor. You gota love them, when they honored the warranty 2 weeks after exp.

If they changed the crank and eliminated the power valves, I'll have to slap myself and wake up!

I would say the only reason the gpr motor looks gold is that it is sitting under some showroom lights at a boat show...

im curious as to how the gpr will run with 5 more hp and now pv's on it ...WOnder if it will break 64..???

Hopefully they didnt back the timing off at the end..

im going to guess it will have a more agressive port timing ,,and with the totaly new pump and 3 blade impeller this new version of the 1300R will be quicker and faster on top speed,(66-67 + mph )dont hold me to it,,,reason being,,, i was told by a very reliable source that yamaha purchased 2 RXP`S way back in the season so they could do testing against them,,my guess is this 1300r will run rite with a rxp stock for stock,,pure speculation on my part but thats my story and im stickin to it. Big Grin
