Here's the latest on inspecting the ski after it sinking in the Gulf. I've already run it for a few hours last Saturday, but thought I should do an inspection of everything. Here is what I found:

The carbs had moisture and condensation in them, even after having 3/4 tank of gas run through them. If you sink your ski, take the carbs off and blow them out.

The PV motor is shot, because water leaked into the "waterproof" housing. The 0-ring around the housing held fine, but where the wiring harness enters the bottom of the housing is wide open to moisture intrusion. The circuit board is full of green salt water corrosion, which is why it fried. Also, the 3-prong "waterproof" connector from the PV motor to the wiring harness is completely corroded as well. So bad, in fact, that I will have to splice in a new connector. I'm using a GM "Weatherpak Connector". These are actually really hard to find, but there are places on the internet where you can find them. They come in 1 wire through 6 wire connections. I'd like to post the website, but I'm sure RC would somehow see this as a competitor and erase my post.

Speaking of that, I just found out that RC banned my buddy Cajundude for posting a picture of a deer trying to mate with a dog. No warning, no reprimand. Banned for 30 days for violating the "obscene photos" rule. You have GOT to be kidding. It was FUNNY - get it RC? This place is a joke sometimes.

I don't always agree with Riva policies either, but they pay the bills so they can make the rules.
