Unfortunately, in order to run triple pipes you must upgrade to an aftermarket ignition. The triple pipes won't make power until about 7,600rpm. The stock ECU rev limiter kicks in around 7,400rpm. That combined with the stock ECU's timing curves means you will never be able to take full advantage of the triple pipes. Currently, the only aftermarket ignition available for your craft is an MSD total loss system. If you choose to go with MSD you will need to replace the fuel injection system with carburetors.

I'm sure that's not the answer you were looking for. Just wanted to make sure you knew what you were getting into before going through all the trouble and expense related to installing triple pipes.

there is a company that has recently figured out how to change the rev limiter within the OEM CDI on the GP1300R

the company is Simon Motorsports

Just want to add that there's more to it than just increasing the rev limit. The timing and fuel curves aren't set up for triple pipes. They must be changed as well or you run the risk of damaging the engine if you run it in the peak torque/detonation range for too long. Which just happens to be a majority of riding time.
