Well guys, I attained new speed numbers today. Here are the changes I made to my ski since the last time I went riding @ 66.0.
Right off the bat I ran a 67.1 with full tank, then Coop and I went riding back in Clear Creek to ride the bends and turns way back where it ends up in Freindswood, well on the way back as our tanks got lower, we were able to pick up faster numbers....at a half tank I was running consistent 68.1/68.5/68.3....then as I got to 3 bars, I was able to click off a 69.0/68.9/69.1....then as we were heading back, I reset my GPS again and clicked off the 69.6...really happy ! Big Grin, not to mention, Coop was running consistent 71's/ 72's.....he showed me his 72.7 and that was cool. and it looks as if he is still has room to dial it in. Great Day !
Here are the changes I made::Shimmed trim tabs, Stock nozzle put back on, washer in the front of my ride plate and Solas 14/20 depitched to a 12/18.
My best speed reading now is 69.6 mph @ 7150 rpms
97 degree Texas Gulf Coast Heat and Humidity !!
Coop rode today too and he set a new personal for himself 72.7 mph. Way to go bro~

Thanks Spud. Yeah, once we get a little cold front in to dip the temps to say low 80's, I should see 70.0 that will make my day. Smile

yep, that was the best day we both had so far. We both started off with low #'s. I started off at 69.3 on full and it just kept getting better. When I went passed rx seemed I knew I was hauling azz. When we stopped to check the gps I was finally glad to have gotten up to 72.7 after all the work I have been putting into the boat. I still have to rejet again for the high and fix the low end problem since I mainly have been concentrating on the highs. I will get better numbers again afterwards. Novi carbs are finiky as I have found out but well worth the effort. I told billy to set if off and he replied w/ 69.6! He must have had an alligator bite him because he was all smiles as he showed me his high reading. Maybe it was the brother thing! Oh yea, houston guys, the tide allowed us to ride the twisties and it was lots of fun.

This is pump gas ported triple pipe GP1200R not BB 1300. a pretty much superstock engine without magnum pump.
Using my 14 vein magnum pump Im getting 73-74 mph at 7860 rpm with incredable bottom end.

Todays numbers in the rough and rain were
72.6 @ 7070rpms in clearlake. This is my highest rpm to date on the BB. I'm still need to get into the 7130 range so it will come soon. Rx951 concentrated on perfecting his holeshots and clearly has it nailed down as his boat really takes off alot better than mine. His stage 2 is really strong for going shy of 70mph. for today, rough water rules!!

coop, what plate, grate, trim tabs and impeller are you using? anu mods to any of them?

I would think 72.6 is very good for 7070 rpm!

c4del...am I understanding that you gain 6-8 mph by using the stock pump stator? if so, that's one place I'll save some $$$ since I don't ride in heavy chop...I knew the mag. pump would slow you down, but I never thought it would be that much.
