What I want to figure out is how your boat runs that fast with such low rpms?
I am wondering the same thing?????

Maybe it is your impeller. Who pitched your impeller? It might be a worthwhile exercise to try your impeller (or even your your complete pump assembly) on another ski to see what happens

Jay I do want to do both but will do only one at at time and first It has to be a cdi. Carl and Fernando both has told me long time ago to change out to it. Carl told me 10 props pitched the same will still be different no matter what. The same goes for any engine or car. There will always be differences. Fernando ran faster w/ Davids prop and vice versa. As far as the low rpms, I don't know but am glad that I do have 30-50 more to gain w/ more speed. Hey Jay, maybe my boat is still pissed off when it came off the trailer that night and it is getting revenge. Impros prop phil. Spud would you like to sell your advent to me. As jay said, we probably will ride all the way to December or even January like last year.

I tried switching entire pumps from a Nu-jet 6.5 set back w\tight pvc liner to a 14\20 speed cut average fit and got the same results.67.5 @ 7030-7020 Almost identical-the Solas felt like it kick in more at mid to upper Rpm's where the Nu-jet felt consistant from bottom to top.My choice would be the nu-jet with the tighter fit, although the solas might make 68 mph if it were tighter.the advent didnt show any top end over the pro-tec Cdi,but does need the snap adjusted lower, the same surging as my other ski W\advent installed.Hop called it!Thanks Hop Big Grin

Coop,

I'll sell it to you for $350.00. It has all single pipe curves so it would need reprogramming if you were to go to triples.

The curves are:

Yam 59
Yam 84
Yam 83
Yam 94

I used it for about 10 hours. I took it out when my second child was born since I knew I wouldn't be using the ski much.

It does accellerate harder. I didn't notice any top speed increase. It may have been the race gas I had mixed in. I didn't feel comfortable running compression and timing on 91 octane.

Make sure one of those curves is the one you want for your application. Otherwise you will need to get it reprogrammed.

The powervalves do surge where-ever you set the snap. It always made me think the ski was starting to seize because it happens in the lean range in the rpm band. Kind of unnerving.

Fercho may be able to get you a better deal. I don't know.

Let me know what you think.

If you want some cheap speed try some lubri - bond "A" on your rideplate. See my other post it goes into detail. Either the "Gods" were on my side with the GP and GPR two different times or that stuff works. People who race drag boats use it on their entire hull.

Joe,you wont have to take a back seat.If I am able to bring both Gpr's Ill put the stock ign in my wife's,the pro-tec in mine, and you can run my advent.Either way, you'll have an advent. It has 2 tripple curves,Ill let you know what they are the next time I'm in there(soon) Wink Big Grin Let me know,I'll 2 day it tues if you need it now Big Grin
For Spud & Coop-I adjusted my cables so the valves would open early and it seemed to help a lot, even though I wasnt at the lowest snap setting. If your like me I dont see the lower rpm range often Big Grin

gprinsan--thanks h2o--how did you adjust you cable to open early. I thought it the hole on the wheel was supposed to lined up to the hole on the cylinder.
