To keep weight down to a minimum our Top-Loader Intake Grate was designed with voids in it. Unfortunately, this can cause cavitation if the intake grate isn't sealed properly. The overall surface area where the grate meets the hull is minimal. Typically this isn't a problem for the average Joe. However, performance enthusiasts like you want to make sure each part performs at it's best. So, to improve the sealing surface area we offer a Pump Seal Kit. These lightweight molded inserts fill the voids in our Top-Loader Intake Grate ensuring a good seal and reduced cavitation. Available now!
