The directions don't say anything about gaskets. In the shop manual it says the gaskets are not reuseable. It also says that the circlip on the coupler is not reuseable. What did you guys do ? This weekend I'm doing the waveeater stuff, heads, F/A's, reed stuffers, D-plate and free flow. I got a new head gasket and the gasket for the reed stuffers. I thought I was good to go with that. Yamaha is proud of thier gaskets. What about carb adjustments ? Once the pipe is put back on how do you dial them in ? I read on another post that after you drill the caps you need a T handle to adjust them. Whats that ? I thought a screwdriver would do it. If you guys can think of anything else I need gaskets etc. let me know. I want to have everything before I get started because I have a full weekend of work without running for missing parts . Thanks.

I reused the gaskets on the YPVS plates with no problem.

i will reuse the gasket as long as it hasn't deformed or been torn.
the clips are little buggers and i always replace with new.

Re-use the gaskets and be carefull with the circlips. T handles replace the adjuster screws so you can reach down with your hand and adjust. I could get to all of mine with T handles and F/A. You will need to re-jet with F/A. You will have a lean spot in the middle if you don't. Hope this helps.
