I'm a bit of a novice here but this is the problem. I have a 2005 (04) model GP1300R which has only 53 hrs. Been out of the water for 4 months, run and flushed eack month. Now when put into the water will not lift onto the 'plane'. Revs fine out of the water with flushing pipe attached but soon as it hits the water, no power or revs at all. Engine running but no power at all. Any ideas guys. Had new plugs and serviced.
Thanks guys. So far all of the suggestions you made have been covered. Prop is fine and turning. Clearance at blade tips is 10thou, grate is clean and unobstructed and compression test on cylinders indicated 108-112psi across the 3 cylinders. Fuel has a odour to it so pump now cleaned and tank completely drained so it's back to the beach this afternoon. Watch this space guys. Thanks for assistance.
Well, the problem is the Cat. removed the exhaust and the thing runs perfectly. Now the question is can I remove the cat completely or will I have to fit the 'D' plate I hear people talking about?
you def. need a d plate, would not recommend using without it, it is a plate that bolts on place of your cat with a D shape cutout for max flow but proper back pressure, also will need a chip to trick the temp senser riva and r&d sell them
Help me with the sensor trick gpr 2000. Sensors dont work on 3 of our 1300s 06 and 07. Just hit the silence butt. I tried it all. Even hanging the temp wand in the comp and filling with a bolt. What can you suggest???
riva and r&d sell a chip (15-20 bucks) that plugs directly in, all you do is follow the sensor wire from pipe to the block beside the cdi box and unplug it, and you plug the sensor from riva into the block and just zip tie the wire from pipe to anything really, its just to keep it from moving around...... hope this answers your ?
I have an 05 with a d plate and the exhaust sensor is install in the pipe. My beeper only goes off when I run in mid range too long. If it goes off I just add fuel to the mid range and it's good to go. NJGP13GRR if your hanging the sensor in the ski and it still goes off it's not the exhaust sensor going off it's the water temp sensor in the stinger. Just add fuel to your EFI controller, your to lean
ok thanks. I never did the e.f.i . I get both lights . Yes water temp from bay to ocean it rings. so now way to fix it unless i do e.f.i ?? the stinger alarm is the culprit. so the water temp sensor can only be fixed by e.f.i ??
