Kind of sucks the things were made in Europe then made in China. Irrelevant IF the quality remains the same but...

Did anyone ever get their hands on any of these TMI tach's? Does anyone else have any opinions of them?

I have never had any bad luck with Tiny Tach. I have had 4 over the past 10 years on different skis. I found back in 1998 that when I spray my motor down with silicone, if any gets on the wire, I stand a chance of it going wacky. As long as I keep the wire clean/dry it will do fine. I also put an extra wrap on the wire too.

I am sure the PET is great, but I still have had good luck with TT.

Yeah, I think that the fifth Tiny Tach that I bought and just had fail is the last one I'll buy. I was wondering about the TMI MinPro tach and if they got their shipment/distribution problems sorted out and whether or not anyone has had enough time to evaluate them.

Guys, guys! Why are you willing to dump tons on money into engine/hull mods, and you're waiting around for a $40 tach?! You can't tune without an accurate tach, so fork out the money for a PET and forget about it.
