How about a differant view of the GP1300r 05. What is the general view of the 05 in the chop. I have only had 2 ski's 1 being a ZXI1100 98 the other the GP1300R 05. The GP for me is very forgiving in the surf you can throw it into any wave or chop land at crap angles and if you can hang the pump just pulls it out of trouble and into the next wave

I have some used parts for sale that would make a significant improvement to your low end - Skat swirl impeller (everybody that rides in the surf should use this prop) - XL fixed pump nozzle with all the veins removed (rare) - All the compoents to do the jetworks mod - EFI - intake grate You should also seal up the pump shoe area with silicone and if using premium gas is an option you might raise your compression. Thanks for the info, new at this so the info you gave is blowing my hair back. Im slowly digesting it through the grey matter over a couple of beers. Thanks for the e-mail address I wiil contact you soon, as I am interested in an intake grate and the mods "jet works " once I work out what they are and what they do

Here is so more info that will help. While the Jetworks mod is a nice mod it really only helps at any RPM below 3,000 - so it is not the saving grace. The other mods I suggested work for the entire rpm range so IMO they would provide better value. The XL nozzle I suggested will add control to the ski - it will give the ski a more planted feeling (if that is possible in the surf). Sealing the pump will reduce cavitation The Skat impeller will improve low and mid range acceleration Here is the priority I would put these mods in - seal pump - intake grate - impeller - XL nozzle - EFI - raise compression (only if you are OK using premium gas) - Jetworks mod - port cylinders - VForce 3 reedsThis message has been edited. I have allready ordered a dynafly an 87mm nozzle, D plate,Cat chip, free flow exhaust tube, and a larger filter before getting on the forum. Sealing the pump? I am waiting on the down load to see what is involved and see if I can do what you said earlier and silicone it up myself. I have lost the Adobe disk that was used to install on my PC so I can not down load up grades at the moment. I will purchase a new disk as I have torn the house apart looking for it today. EFI? Is this the RIVA fuel control unit or a bigger better EFI for the 05 ?. Raising compression is not a problem we have 91,95,98 octane. Still waiting to down load "Jetworks" porting and reeds should not be a problem. Again, thanks for the info.

Well.......... I have heard the Dynafly doesn't have great low end, that is why I suggested the Skat impeller. The Skat has great low end. Actually you might want both - the Dynafly has great top end. I finally got my 05 pump so I will test this soon. But it is a known fact nothing will beat a Skat swirl out of the hole. Make sure it is a Riva or OEM D plate. Riva doesn't recommend the 87 mm nozzle with the 05 pump. Free flow exhaust tube - don't install it - noisier and slower. Larger filter - probably a waste of time - noisier with no gain. Don't shoot me, I'm just the messenger, I just call them like I see them.
