I just recently bought a 99 xl 760 with a 100 hrs on it and i noticed the rooster tail only goes as high as my head at full throttle. is that normal or is that something i should look into?? any advice would be great help. Thanks

It should spray much higher. More than likely something is obstructing the flow. Pull the hose off and check it. Check the fittings at the pump and the hull too.

i just looked at it and all it is a about a 6" piece of hose from the impeller housing to the port on the back. is that the hose you think i should inspect?? cause all the clamps feel tight.

problem fixed!! there was a shell and a peice of plastic inside the impeller port. cleaned out and good to go. Thanks again.
