Interestingly enough, there are a ton of parts out there, that are IMPOSSIBLE to prove if they work or not. I'd say reed spacers safely fall into this niche.
Here is a pic of a 7800+rpm triple pipe machine with no spacer and less than 10 hours. Here is a pic of stock reeds after installing a RPM spacer for 15 hours. Same engine. So now I've followed Fercho and Lowell's advice and installed another spacer to get the reeds totally out of the boost port... in fact they end up just about even with the roof of the entrance. HOWEVER, I've installed 48's with a boost bottle on the double spaced reeds now. Only time will tell. One move variable... I had reed stuffers in the cages.
