Welcome to our forums! Stand Wave

The numbers on the lows are on the side of the jet. Set your low speed screws at 1 turn out and your highs at 1-1/2 and adjust from there.

If you post up the complete carb jetting specs we will check if they are right. (Sorry but we need to know what the lows and the needle and seat are.)

Is the accelerator pump still being used on the carbs?

Have you removed all of the OEM black intake parts?

It sounds like it could be lean, so I wouldn't run the ski again until you you sort things out. This could also be why it lost the 2 pistons. Lean is bad because the lack of fuel lets the motor overheat and this leads to seizures.

On behalf of jacomo (posted in a different thread, but relative to your response Philip_GPR)

"Hey philip thanks for replying, i can adjust the top or hitg nedles, but the lower ones the first carb is hard to reach, are the lows could be causing this? my hitgs are 130 lows are 110 the nedle and seet is Oem, the hitgs are 1-1/4 the lows set at 1, run the ski same problem bug out at 6000 RPM but at full trotle, runs fantastic, i took off the plugs and look a litle wet, i put new plugs, move the higts a 1/4 more same move another 1/4 same 1-3/4, like i said i could not reach the lows, could this be the problem? should i tried? oh i also have the accelarator pump from a 2000 milenium edition wich is a bitbiger, should i take it off?"

a) it is not the low speed screw (this affects idle)

b) it is not the high speed screw (this affects top speed)

c) the 2001 and 2000 use the same accelerator pump

Questions:

1) At 6,000 rpm does the motor die ? or does the motor load up and stumble ?

2) What is connected to the carbs? Have you removed all of the black plastic intake pieces? Have you installed feee air filters? with water covers?

3) is the accelerator pump connected and being used?

OK

to give it more fuel in the 6,000 rpm range you could

change the needle and seat from 1.2 to 1.5

change the needle and seat spring to 95 grams (dull silver)

please report back what the results are
