I have a stock 2000 1200r and i want to have a good all around performer. I mostly ride lakes with calm to mild chop and rollers. I already have a few parts. D-plate, sensor, ppk, flow control stuff. I still need to get a 13/19 but other that that i am not sure maybe also get some sponsons. I want to have a strong bottom and mid, without losing any top end and hopefully gaining. What are some other ways to help my ski out that are not too extream or expensive. I thought about geting a grate but i hear they slow you down, is that true? Any info would be helpful.

I have heard alot of people complaining about skis after he has worked on them. I actually towed in a guys doo because they did not seal the drive shaft properly.

Davis is a good guy but has had people come in and out of his shop. He has never worked on my boat....and never will...just because only 2 people work on my boat me and a friend.

I dont know stick with what you feel is right.... I dont really deal with him...just cause I dont need to....I know my boat is faster.... Big Grin

decide on the complete list of mods first, do the prop last, depending on the mods the prop might change

on the grate, a 2 bar Riva or R&D would probably be the best

prop is still hanging there

I finally got my ski back together - talk about poor planning - betweeen waiting on back ordered head gaskets, then trying to find bolts the right size, then trying to find water line fittings - it seemed like it took forever to get it back together

Just a suggestion:

If you plan on eventually doing mods like crazy (like everyone else), you may want to rethink the 13/19 Solas prop. Start with a stock NuJet 6.5, and when you move up to a stage II setup, you can get it repitched to match your new power. I started with a 13/19, and now it's sitting on the shelf. In its place is a NuJet 6.5 pro. It'll save you over $200 if you do it this way.

I hate winter...
