Here are the Mods I have on my 97' 1200. I'm wondering what kind of speed and rpm's I should be looking for.

Triple pipes
Riva 36cc girdled head
riva pump gas ported
SBT trued aND WELDED CRANK
riva rev limiter
open air riva intake with chokes removed,
reeds and stuffers
riva trim tabs,
r&d ride plate and intake grate
14/20 xo prop
Riva pump nozzle

36cc requires more than 92 octane - so I don't know why you got pump gas porting. That may be a problem - pump gas porting and race gas heads... 41cc is the correct domes for pump gas compression (150 psi) on yamaha 1200 motors.

2nd.
make sure you set the correct ignition curve on the riva ignition.

i'm guessing around 68-70mph not sure what rpm.

The 97 is an 1135cc engine w/o power valves. I think he is okay with that cc dome. Another thing to keep in mind would be elevation. [Wink]
