Hi guys,

Just moved to the Bahamas and need new carbs (adjuster screws have corroded) and powervales to rebuild my ski.(mainly Riva Stage II plus extras)

Please let me know what you have and best price plus shipping.

Delivery to Miami is good, I can have them shipped from there.

Thanks

You can replace just the adjustment screws. It's a popular thing to do as the stock one's are tough to work with. Our EZ Tune Kits have T-handles making it easier to adjust them.

We also offer aftermarket Powervalves that directly replace the stock powervalves. They provide better performance and improved reliability through their design and superior materials. Another popular upgrade for GPR's! Wink

Yeh I know they are available but how do you get the old (corroded ones, with no heads) out ?

Probably will go for your replacement valves if budget allows. I have a business trip to Kissimee in mid-April can you arrange to have parts delivered to my hotel as I doubt I will get enought R&R time to visit you on this trip?

Thanks

I don't understand. Are you saying the heads of the mixture screws corroded away (to nothing) or you can't see them. They're underneath tamper caps that are pressed into the carb body. You have to carefully drill them out to expose the mixture screws.

You will need to contact our parts sales reps to arrange for parts shipping. I'm sure they will do what they can to accommodate you. BTW - We're only about 2-1/2 hours from Kissimmee! Wink

No the tamper caps have already been removed. I have been able to removed the H mixture screws but the L ones are in a bad way. I guess from all that North Sea salt water sitting in there for over 300 hrs ( it was washed down and flushed after every ride but there are some places you just cant get to).

Anyway now she is getting a full rebuild when she arrives in my container in approx 3 weeks). And she will need carb ajustments due to the climate change/new components. So is my only option new carbs ? I suppose if thats the case than I have nothing to loose by trying to remove the existing ones. Could try soaking them is actetone first?

Thanks

If you can't remove them then your only choice will be to replace the complete carburetor.

I would soak the frozen screws with a heavy-duty penetrating oil. Then I would use a good qualitly 'easy-out' kit and try to remove them. A little heat might help too. Be careful not to start a fire!!!
